How to Get There

Fly from Yangon (~1 hour) or take the overnight train from Yangon (~16 hours). Buses from Yangon take ~9–10 hours. From Mandalay, it's a 4–5 hour bus ride or a scenic 3-hour river cruise.

Visitor Tip

Rent an e-bike (~3,000 MMK/day) to explore at your own pace. The Bagan Archaeological Zone entrance fee is $25 USD. Wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees, and remove shoes before entering all temples.
